Those players don't even look human. That's just a harsh fact. As crude-looking as that picture is, it's even worse when you see the game in action. This one, like all early games, suffered from the "blinking graphics" syndrome, due to low programming capacity. The "crowd" cheering sounded closer to a car running over gravel. And worse, the screen didn't even scroll. Not long afterwards, the main competition developed a more advanced football video game for their console. It certainly was an improvement, with improved graphics, sound, and gameplay. But it was still nothing too impressive. Yes, people were pretty stoked to see some improvements, but this wasn't the sports video game to put sports video games on top. More time would pass in order for that to transpire. This one was a big innovation for football video games, and has fans who still swear by it. This one held the top spot for football video game fans forever. Not hard to understand why that caught on - they were the first to really bring a more comprehensive simulation of football to the video game console. Football video games went to the next level with that one, due to the much needed upgrades. Judging by its online revival, people still enjoy it today in small doses. Yet, it's still a poor man's PS3 Madden 10. Once you've viewed all the other games, have a gander at PS3 Madden 10. We've come a long way, and you, along with football video games, have been the largest beneficiary. But there's no purpose in ragging on the early games. You get it. Those games did what needed to be done, and we have them to thank, indirectly, for PS3 Madden 10. PS3 Madden 10 is in a whole different stratosphere than its predecessors, and for that, hardcore gamers have every reason to be stoked. But it's not just the hardcore gamers that are loving this one - the critics have weighed in, and they give it the thumbs up. Reviews for PS3 Madden 10 are filled with praise such as "realistic and enjoyable." EA Sports has sacked all the competition with PS3 Madden 10, to nobody's surprise. There's no debating it - PS3 Madden 10 is an all-time great sports video game. Sure, we love all PlayStation sports video games, but PS3 Madden 10 stands at the top, as one of the best. In the video game world, PS3 football games begin and end with Madden. This is the game for the real men, not just the little kids, when you go toe-to-toe for some serious money.
